CECB is the the community ensemble with a pedigree reaching back to 1980. Currently led by musical director Rob Spalton. Rob is, among other things, ‘Head of Brass’ at Repton School in Derbyshire. Expect some good strong brass band sounds this afternoon .
‘A jet engine is no match for a band full of brass’ … she says, cocking a snook at the skies .
Our gates are open at 12.30 as usual, the set starts about 2pm with a break and will finish about 4pm.
Buy an advanced ticket here, or on the door. Seats are unreserved. You are welcome – nay encouraged – to bring a picnic and your own seating etc.
