Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, so deserves a special setting.  A location that’s enchanting, steeped in history and unique.

At Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens, we offer a formal English Country Garden without the formalities so you can create your outdoor wedding celebration just the way you wish.

If you’re looking for the perfect outdoor wedding venue, Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens gives you access to a beautifully restored 10 acres of historic Grade II* listed walled garden – one of the only remaining 18th Century formal English gardens in the UK. Allowing you the flexibility you desire and the freedom you choose to have your wedding, your way.  

Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens is the perfect setting for couples who love the great outdoors and want to celebrate their wedding in all its glory.  Our 2,431 sq ft Archery Lawn is the perfect spot for your choice of tipi, bell tent or marquee, with the rest of the 10 acre site available for you and all your guests to enjoy and capture some incredible photographs of your special day.

Creating your dream day

Here at the Gardens, we don’t believe in restricting you to a set ‘package’ so you are free to shape the day exactly as you wish.  The cost to hire for your outdoor wedding and reception is £3,500 based on a celebration of up to 250 people with access from 10:30am – midnight.

We work with a range of trusted wedding industry suppliers so can help with recommendations for tipi suppliers, caterers etc if required. We can also help with the design of your day if this is something you need some support with, or leave the planning entirely up to you!

Whilst we don’t have accommodation on site, there are a number of options on our doorstep as well as a whole host of other large and boutique accommodation options in nearby Birmingham city centre, Solihull and Meriden.

Filming & Photography

The Gardens are a beautiful and photogenic place all year round.

Garden visitors are welcome to take pictures for their own personal use any time we are open. Of course, we’d love it if you share your favourite shots on your social media platforms. Wedding, Engagement, Fashion, Professional & Commercial Photography

We know the Gardens can create special memories for couples and can be a great environment for all kinds of still photography. We are happy to work with couples, users and photographers and students to identify good sites and special access.

Like most charities, heritage sites and museums we charge modest facility fees for commercial and professional usage.

Fees are required for all promotional or commercial photo/video sessions that are not part of a private event taking place at the Garden. This includes engagement photos, wedding/bridal photos, family portraits, fashion shoots etc that are taking place outside of the contracted time period of any private event rental agreement.

There is a basic fee of £125 for minimal access on a small shoot with up to 20 people. Please talk to us about your requirements and we will be delighted to draw up a hire agreement to suit.

All fees are used to directly support the Gardens and our charitable objectives.

• Subject to normal opening hours and fees.
• We expect photography to be legal, decent, safe and honest. If staff are in any doubt about this we reserve the right to request you leave the Gardens immediately.
• Please be sensitive to other people using the Gardens – always politely seek permission directly from people if they are a major feature in any shot.
