The Courtyard Café at Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens

The Courtyard is free to enter.

The café cabin serves hot and cold drinks and light refreshments including many delicious homemade, local and artisanal cakes , savouries, ice creams, jams and pickles.

A growing proportion of our cakes, savouries and snacks are made locally, either by artisan makers life SiverTree bakery  , Mrs Mills Bakes and by our volunteers and staff

There is a bar selling a range of bottled beers, wine, mead etc during most events…Don’t miss our mulled cider and mulled wine served during tradtional winter time celebrations.

Winter warming soups, made from produce grown in the Gardens, are replace during the warmer months, with our scrumptious ‘Cream Tea in a Box’  to go off wandering around the Gardens for a picnic.

Cream Tea in a Box

Large, locally-made sultana scone, from our friends at the famous SilverTree Bakery, Cornish clotted cream, jam and endless tea/coffee all served in a handy compostable carry box.

£7 to takeaway.  Usually available to order, daily, from the cafe from April 6th, 2024.

Nb. Scones are made locally, by proper artisan bakers, not in factories –  apologies for any disappointment if they are sometimes out of stock.

As stewards of 40 acres of ancient greenspaces in the middle of the city we work hard at being part of a circular economy  . The Cream Tea box and cutlery are all plant based and the cups are returnable. After you’ve enjoyed your picnic, please return to the Courtyard and use the appropriate bins. Many thanks for helping us keep the planet pleasant.
