Please be aware, we do take photographs in the Gardens.
As a tiny independent Charitable Trust, we do a lot of marketing online to encourage more people to visit – which helps us raise money to continue to be able to share the Gardens.
Staff regularly take photos in the Gardens; of plants, general views, people and events. These are often used for general marketing purposes.
If you are attending an event or show here, you may appear in the general background or in the audience of photos of that event.
Please tell us, on arrival, if you wish us not to use any photos where you appear.
(PS we never share photos of children without the express permission of them and their carers). Thank you
Can I take photos?
The Gardens are very photogenic and people also like to capture good moments in good places with selfies and photos. We always welcome visitors taking photos for their own personal use – and of course we’d love you to share them on our social media too.
Wedding, engagement and commercial photography
The upkeep of these 350 year old Gardens is incredibly expensive and the Charitable Trust derives a small amount of valuable income from charging commercial and wedding photography. We have a set minimum charge please see here for booking your special moment in the Gardens: https://www.castlebromwichhallgardens.org.uk/filming-and-photography/
The gardens are perfect for picnics, you can bring your own picnic or pick up something from our café. You are welcome to set up on one of our many lawns, but we do also have benches dotted around the site too for your convenience.
Please take your rubbish home or recycle it, if you can. This also helps the charity to reduce the costs of disposal.
Dogs are welcome at the gardens, please keep them on a short lead throughout your stay and pick up after them thank you.
Toilets are available near the entrance to the Gardens. Male and Female toilets have a small step at the entrance. A wheelchair accessible toilet in the same block, has a level entrance.
At the other end of the Gardens – by the Batty Langley vegetable plot- there are 2 compost toilets; one which has reasonable wheelchair/buggy access and has a urinal too.
Our main toilets, as with many of our working buildings, were installed over 30 years ago when the Gardens were being rescued. They are badly in need of an upgrade. The Trust is at the start of a long road of planning and fundraising to transform all our public and office spaces…Thank you for supporting us get to that stage by visiting the Gardens.
