On the edge of the Parkland is this grassland surrounded by rough scrub and Hawthorn and Ash trees. It is a haven for birds, bees and butterflies who come to feed on the nectar from the brambles, wildflowers and tree blossom. Goldfinches feed on the teasel heads while Long -tailed tits flit through the trees.
Look closely at the wildflowers, how many different colours can you see? Do check for the purple Pyramid Orchids in Summer too.
Retrace your footsteps back over the bridge to the last way marker post then head right following the path through the wet woodland.
