Autumn Half Term Family Friendly Activities

Pumpkins, Bats and Land Art: Drop-in activities for young ones and their grown ups.

Monday to Friday, 12 – 3pm  (Gardens open from 11am)
Simple autumn themed craft makes every day: Bat mobiles, pumpkins scarecrows, leaf ghosts… Outdoor and undercover activities; find the lego creatures before they hibernate for winter, add to our Land Art Festival art work (See Saturday 27th for separate event).

Get outdoors and breathe the air this Half Term.
Ideal for children over 4, but all age family groups welcome.
£2 per person – everyone over 5 years old.
Free for Family Activity Annual Pass holders

Land Art Festival Day – public drop-in and create.

Join internationally acclaimed Environmental Land Artists Richard Shilling and Julia Brooklyn, making art for fun.

Land Art combines creativity, team work, quiet contemplation, running around in the open air, discovering the seasons, looking, making, patterns, counting, measuring , colour ……fun.

Our autumn environmental land art festival uses found and natural objects to make temporary art works together. Join us.

Saturday is the 3rd day Richard and Julia will be working with us  (schools and young people will have the benefit on Thursday and Friday)

Drop in for half an hour or all day and enjoy to space, make, look or just breathe in the air.

Normal Garden entry prices. Free for Family Activities Annual Pass holders

Please note – these are outdoor sessions – come dressed appropriately.

Circus Mash makes a welcome return to the Gardens with their mixture of having a go circus skills for all ages - juggling, balance, low ropes and daring hullaballoo entertainment. It's the 250th anniversary of Circus. Come and join in!

Half Term- Unplug and Play

Keep active and entertained this holiday… Unplug and Play outdoor and simple craft activities get your kids out and moving this week (29th – 31st May).  We have some simple arts and crafts sessions that children and their grown-ups are guaranteed to enjoy! Plant a bean to grow our magic bean tunnel, explore the bugs and add to our multistorey bug hotel, build a den! Get lost in the Maze!
