Everybody loves Bianca. Nobody loves her shrewish sister, Kate. So their father has decided that Bianca can’t be married until a husband is found for Kate. The situation seems hopeless for Bianca’s many suitors. But when the boastful Petruchio blows into town to find himself a wealthy wife he is persuaded that Kate fits the bill. In the scramble to woo the two sisters, sparks will fly and deceit, disguise and mistaken identities abound.
But is Bianca really such a catch? Is Kate really such a shrew? And can she really be tamed? Find out in Shakespeare’s fast, farcical and provocative comedy.
