These 10 acres of formal gardens are ideal for period dramas from the late seventeenth-century onwards, right up to the Edwardian and pre-war age. They represent a rare survival from the late Stuart and early Georgian eras, with many outstanding features.

Long avenues and vistas provide excellent lines of sight, complemented by nooks and crannies perfect for the intrigue of period dramas.

We are also available to hire for documentary and reality filming, having recently worked with the BBC for ‘Garden Rescue’, and ITV for ‘Love of Pets’. Our offer is strong, as is our position. We boast a large car park, just outside our gates, with gated entrances for ease of access and public control. Situated just off Junction 5 of the M6, and on main bus routes out of Birmingham City Centre, we are easy to reach.

Our team is flexible and enjoyable to work with. A small staff is complemented by an extraordinary force of volunteers who maintain the Gardens and the Courtyard Cafe, and this espouses a wonderful and friendly welcome.

We know the Gardens can create special memories for couples and can be a great environment for all kinds of still photography. We are happy to work with couples, users and photographers and students to identify good sites and special access.

Like most charities, heritage sites and museums we charge modest facility fees for commercial and professional usage. Fees are required for all professional, promotional or commercial photo/video sessions which are not part of a private event already taking place at the Garden. This includes engagement photos, wedding/bridal photos, family portraits, fashion shoots etc and anything which takes place outside of the contracted time period of any private event rental agreement.

There is a basic minimum fee of £125 for access on a small shoot with up to 15 people.

Please talk to us about your requirements and we will be delighted to draw up a hire agreement to suit.
All fees are used to directly support the Gardens and our charitable objectives.

• We only take photoshoot bookings for within our usual opening times of Wednesday-Sunday 10:30-16:30. Times outside of this are not normally permitted.
• We expect photography to be legal, decent, safe and honest. If staff are in any doubt about this we reserve the right to request you leave the Gardens immediately.
• Please be sensitive to other people using the Gardens – always politely seek permission directly from people if they are a major feature in any shot.
