Percy the Park Keeper trails in the Gardens – all November 

Ideal for the little ones.

Visit the Gardens and encounter the much loved Percy the Park Keeper character on a free self guided trail. Children are encouraged to explore the Gardens; find Percy in the maze, Mole at the mud kitchen and Badger at the bug hotel. Autumn in the Gardens is a great place for kids to have a runaround and safely discover Nature.

As well as the permanent ‘Explore with Percy Trail’  each season sees an extra, new trail based on one of the Percy books:

October and November 2022 is ‘The Flying Visit ‘–  the very latest of the Percy Books (try out the Teddy zipline!

December – February: Everyone’s favourite ‘One Snowy Night’

Look out for news of bookable special Christmas adventures with Percy and Santa’s elf soon.

The Gardens’  shop is also stocking some official Percy items, including books and activities. Great for presents and to encourage happy reading.

There is a prickly visitor at the gardens this half term. Come along to one of Percy’s Hedgehog Adventure sessions to learn all about him; games, craft, storytelling and fun all.

Percy is on a new adventure right here in the Gardens. Follow the trail to explore the all new story ‘’A Flying Visit’’

On everyday. No need to book, just pay the ordinary Gardens entry fee on the day and explore.

‘Once upon a time in the Gardens’...Percy and his animal friends are always having adventures, pull up a seat and get cosy with a hot drink and listen to some of their tales.

On every day. No need to prebook. Turn up and Story times will be posted on signs in the courtyard (usually about 2pm daily)

Have you ever heard of a flying hedgehog? What about a flying bear or a flying bunny? This half term you can have the chance to send your teddy whooshing through the air in flight on our Teddy zip line

Bring your  teddy/toy with you. No need to book , available everyday,

Percy the Park Keeper is hard at work in the Gardens this half term, why not stop by and say hello? 

No need to pre-book – just get your ordinary entry ticket for the Gardens on the gate. There’s always a selfie opportunity in the courtyard and, if you’re lucky, you might bump into Percy himself in the Gardens –  dont forget to say ‘Hello’

It’s lunch time! Percy loves sitting down to a nice lunch in the fresh air. Why not pick up one of our Percy lunchboxes at the café and tuck in? 

Lunchbox contains a sandwich, fruit, drink and a biscuit just like in the ‘A Flying Visit‘ storybook. Pick up your compostable box at the Café (£4.50)

Percy ‘pauses’ and activities will be in the Gardens every day, even after half term… so come back and see him soon.

And there will be another new Percy story trail in the Gardens for Christmas.
