Saturday August 5th. Dark Side of the Moon
For the last of our concerts for this year we are thrilled to bits to celebrate a 50th anniversary.
In the 50th year since this seminal album was released we can’t think of a better tribute to it than to have some of our fine musician friends come and play the whole album live for us in the beautiful setting of the Claire Voie
Paul, our lighting engineer, is most excited as he hasn’t had the chance to light such a performance since he did so at Avebury 25 years ago – this is the sort of pedigree that we like.
Paul’s already dusting off his oil wheels – if you know you know and stocking up with fuel for the smoke machines.
The band 4OM are at the perfect point that we love, they’ve been playing together for 12 years
and play for the fun of it, not dependant on it for a living. They have a range of jobs between them from saving lives to making gardens grow but most importantly in their playing together have found a shared love of Pink Floyd and this album in particular.
We saw them play this album through at an event in January this year and knew straight away that we had to ask them to come and play it for us all here.
For the first half of the evening they’ll play a selection of their personal favourite Pink Floyd numbers drawn from over the decades.
