Join renowned Land Artist Richard Shilling for this Natural Art Practitioner’s Course, which is suitable for art students, Forest School leaders, teachers, artists, or anyone wishing to learn about environmental art techniques and methods.
Richard with his ongoing relationship with nature will explore themes to do with time, ecology and the constant flux of the seasons and express these ideas through land art images.
No self-perceived artistic talent is required, the techniques you will be shown are simple and accessible. If you are looking to take time out from the everyday hustle and bustle, you will benefit from the following:
- A deepening of your relationship with nature as we explore the creative process and how the art is developed. Through the practice of ephemeral art discovering the subtle nuances in nature and the environment, thus understanding its cycles, the processes of flux and transience
- You will be shown how you can discover for yourself the ethos of land art via taking away with you a deeper understanding of how to continue your journey and make further progress with this art form
- Investigating different creation methods and techniques using natural materials and limited tools
Please note accompanied children 8 years and older are allowed. Parents or guardians are responsible for their welfare at all times. Be aware the workshops are designed for adults and the day is not really suitable for very young children. Limited to 20 participants, booking essential.
