Eclectic music for early evenings in a beautiful setting.

The sessions are our regular summer evening outdoor acoustic sessions in the Melon Ground area of the 10acre historic Garden.

Come for the atmosphere, the music, the conviviality. Picnics welcome, but we also have a small cafe bar for snacks and liquid refreshments

Gates open from 7pm if you’d like to explore our gorgeous gardens before the music starts around 7.45pm

Tickets available in advance and (limited ) on the door

Remember- we are totally outdoors with nature – Cardies, hats and blankets might keep your body comfy while the warmth of the music warms your soul.

Each week the music is, as ever, hosted and curated by John Mostyn

Check out our regular blog posts for updates for each week’s musicians

Resident guitarist Vo Fletcher is joined each week by more musicians whose styles and influences range across jazz, blues, folk, world and every flavour in between.  Each week a discovery.

June 30th ...more dates coming soon

June 30th

Katie Stevens is unable to join us on the 30th but we still have many musical treats in store from Vo Fletcher and Sam Slater – two of the finest guitarists in The Midlands.
No doubt Sam will bring his oud and a couple more stringed instruments but lovers of Django Reinhardt are in for a special treat as they are free to share their love of our favourite Belgian with us.
Here’s a video of them playing together for only the second time on a chilly night in our music room last Autumn.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY:
The Melon Ground Sessions happen fortnightly!

Alternate Thursday evening through May, June and July. Please check on the day- weather and other events may interrupt the flow. Tickets available in advance and (limited) on the door
