DESCRIPTION:‘Lost Landscapes’\, Medieval Castle Brom\nCastle Bromwich Motte and Bailey: the castle on the Collector Road \nWhy is it Castle Bromwich? This illustrated talk by archaeologist Dr Mike Hodder of the University of Birmingham will describe the excavations that took place on the motte and bailey castle before the Collector Road was built. It will explain its setting in medieval Castle Bromwich and compare it with other castles and manor houses in the West Midlands and beyond. \n\nTime:\n11:30 start\, lasting about an hour with questions.
