Dark Side of the Moon, with 4OM
A RESCHEDULED date – open air concert with 4OM –
An evening of Floyd and a complete DarkSide of the Moon, experienced in the beautiful natural mini amphitheatre of the the ClaireVoie in these historic Gardens.
We’re really pleased to be able to reschedule this date, which was postponed in August because of foul weather. We will still try to have this event outdoors under the trees, but we do have a really great double stretch tent to shelter under.. .so, it will go ahead.
If you think you missed the original opportunity .. here’s your chance again. 🙂
Sunset is 7.30 and the moon will be up – so it will be an even more interesting atmospheric experience.
Tickets
£12 (plus £1.08 booking fee)
Gates open 6.30pm, music from appx 7.30pm ish
Bar, warm drinks and food available.
Chairs will be provided but bring a blanket to keep warm!!. NB this event is entirely outdoors, but we will have the Stretch Tent as back up if necessary
In the 50th year since this seminal album was released we can’t think of a better tribute to it than to have some of our fine musician friends come and play the whole album live for us in the beautiful setting of the Claire Voie
Paul, our lighting engineer, is most excited as he hasn’t had the chance to light such a performance since he did so at Avebury 25 years ago – this is the sort of pedigree that we like. Paul’s already dusting off his oil wheels – if you know you know and stocking up with fuel for the smoke machines.
The band 4OM are at the perfect point that we love, they’ve been playing together for 12 years
and play for the fun of it, not dependant on it for a living. They have a range of jobs between them from saving lives to making gardens grow but most importantly in their playing together have found a shared love of Pink Floyd and this album in particular.
We saw them play this album through at an event in January this year and knew straight away that we had to ask them to come and play it for us all here.
For the first half of the evening they’ll play a selection of their personal favourite Pink Floyd numbers drawn from over the decades.
It’s going to be a magical night for Floyd fans old and new.
