Message to Voting Members of the Trust, June 16 2025
After last year’s flurry of meetings required of voting members of the Trust, this year seems inordinately quiet.
As you will know, Trustees, staff and volunteers have nevertheless still been super busy- behind the scenes and in the Gardens.
We’re pleased to report that with the new governance arrangments voted in by yourselves have created a Trustee Board which has returned to being positive, practical and proactive.
Catching up on lost time, theTrustees intended to have the AGM in sunny June, in order to celebratie this 40th Year of the Trust while the sun shines. It has been decided to bide our time a little.
The 40th year is the start of a new decade of fundraising, so we will delay our celebratory moments – and the AGM -until October (Sat 4th provisional date).
In the meantime we thought we’d share our completed Annual Accounts – which you can vote to accept at the AGM.
and our first Impact document .
Moving away from lots of narrative text inside of the Accounts, we will follow the lead of many other charities and businesses to create a shorter more digestible document that highlights the impact we have had over the year – on the land and people we work with.
This document, brokered through Solihull MBC’s Match My Project scheme, was created in collaboration with the digital community of Steamhouse at Birmingham City University. It is a much better document to share with pontential funders and partners too.
